Some/Total is a search for the universal through the scrutiny of self, by studying the spaces and things most important and intimate in my daily life. From my own chaos, I infer an underlying logic that extends beyond myself, hinting at truths that I will never know. By manipulating and re-configuring my immediate surroundings, my human weaknesses and shortcomings seem fleeting, cured by the imposition of structural order and control. The complexity of the familiar is as mysterious as the universe itself; in this work I strive to discover both.
